- Embankment - A bank or mound of cement constructed along a tank or artificial lake to prevent flooding.
- Stony waste - Land covered with rock boulders and stones. It is shown as a white patch with stony waste printed on it.
- Rock outcrop - Subsoil is exposed and cultivation is not possible.
- Settlements :
Nucleated - Permanent huts shown in cluster. grouped together or close together.
Linear - Permanent huts shown in either side of a river or road.
Scattered - Permanent huts shown in dispersed manner.
