Words and Expressions have been my friends.
There's not a day I have slept without them.
My waking hours as well,
were mostly spent in their company,
They taught me to ask and unravel mysteries.
Some got solved, many need careful thought.
Let me come back to that later and continue,
Words and Expressions,
they certainly have been my friends.
As I grew, I relied more on them,
They helped me of course,
they were my closest friends.
Then came a time when I started failing.
The more I used them the more I lost,
I was bewildered and thought;
Are the Words and Expressions playing their part?
In a fit of anger,
I asked them to leave.
It was only when they left,
silence engulfed me,
I realized that the Words were not right,
the Expressions too loud.
Over the years they had,
built a strong defence,
Protecting my Ego falsely;
the Words hid my good heart,
the Expressions misrepresented my mind.
It was only then that is occurred,
That Words and Expressions are powerful things.
They can start a war or gift you peace.
